Welcome to the Institute of Cell Signalling
The goal of the Institute of Cell Signalling (ICS) is to build a multidisciplinary environment with complementary skills in cell biology, molecular pharmacology, chemical biology and cell signalling. A major aim is to utilise the advances being made in molecular genetics and cell biology to study the regulation of cell signalling pathways in healthy and diseased human cells. The group provides a focus for the exchange of ideas and techniques, enhanced collaboration and multidisciplinary research training at the interface between basic and clinical research. The major research themes of the ICS are:
-
Molecular Pharmacology and Cell Biology of Cell Surface Receptors
-
Biological Membranes and the Biophysics of Ligand-Receptor Interactions
